Blockman Gets.

Blockman_Gets_20091006BYou all know PacMan, but this one isn’t pacman. This one is Blockman Gets. Not only he is square, but he plays with somewhat different rules. Granted, there is a maze and pellets, but BlockMan is so hungry that he can only move to a tile where there is a pellet to glob. There are some you won’t be able to eat, so your goal is not to eat them all, but to eat as much as you can.

It will take some time before the ghost placeholders join in the game, and instead of a power-pellet, there is a refill-pellet that makes all the empty tiles receive a pellet again, so that you can unlock yourself and enjoy more globbing.

Blockman Gets provides enjoyable and colorful graphics, just a cut above minimalist while remaining simple. Same for the sound effects (there isn’t any real soundtrack, but there was none in Pacman either). Perfect to keep yourself entertained while you wait for the bus.

    Thanks for posting this.
I do love the Blockman games, as they’re an interesting twist on what the player expects the game to be, along with being a fairly complex puzzle type.
I hope that people continue to enjoy it, and having it archived on DS Homebrew is one way to keep it playable for many years to come 🙂

You really do create to great games, really would like to see you venture more into the retro dev scene and see what you can knock up.
